New York Fashion Week 2012 kicked off on Thursday, Feb. 9 for eight days of glitz and glamor on and off the runway. Day 6 featured dark, romantic looks from top designers. "This is about understated sexy," said Tory Burch, as her line was about to debut on the runway.

"The picture I had was a young woman, maybe unaware of her own sex appeal, and she gets on the back of a motorcycle with someone who her parents wouldn't want her to be with," she continued.

Model, Coco Rocha, also stated that sexy is a state of mind. "It's about a person and what they exude. If you have confidence and elegance, you don't need cleavage," she said.
