Kate Middletown spent Valentine's Day busily touring charities in Liverpool, England.
The Duchess of Cambridge was dressed elegantly in a burgundy belted coat from Hobbs , a black Oasis dress and everything else black.
The “Celeste” coat sold out in under an hour on the company's website, according to The Mirror.
Almost 8,000 miles away from her prince, Kate carried out her first solo visit to a charity that helps recovering addicts.
She met dozens of people at the Brink Bar, an alcohol-free bar affiliated with Action on Addiction, for which Kate is a patron.
And it might have been the most heart-warming Valentine ever! An 8-year-old boy Jaqson Johnston-Lynch, whose mother works at the charity, gave the Duchess a Valentine's Day card, a bouquet of red roses and a cupcake decorated with “Jaqson loves Kate” in a heart.
The Duchess then paid a visit to the Alder Hey Children's hospital, where hundreds of people welcomed her.
Here too, 10-year old Ethan Harris, whose brother is being treated at the hospital, gave the royal a hand-made card. Ethan then helped Kate unveil a plaque commemorating her visit. "Your name should be on this too," the Duchess told him, according to Wales Online.
“Years ago the families of children in hospital were encouraged to stay away. Wonderfully, times have changed and we now know children make a better recovery when their families are nearby," Ethan's mother Kirsty Karris welcomed the Duchess.
“We know some families will never take their children home but being here for the last few weeks and days makes the world of difference. We’re very proud of the work we do here and we’re very proud to welcome you here today," she added.
