The 54th Grammy Awards ceremony featured some strange fashion choices. From Fergie's underwear showing and Katy Perry's wacky-meets-elegant dress, it was interesting to notice that Lady Gaga's gear was not the most talked about.

We've seen some strange things from the "Born This Way," star. Who could forget her VMA "meat dress," which was 100% natural meat...? Or her red carpet entrance for the 2011 Grammy Awards where she showed up inside of an egg carried by several models? Let us not forget when "Gaga" did not show up at all and had "Jo Calderone" take her seat at the 2011 VMA awards.

This year, Lady Gaga kept to her usual oddity, but didn't surprise us as in past years. She kept it relatively simple (for Gaga style) with leotard and fishnet meshing. She also kissed Paul McCartney... but that is a separate issue.

Nicki Minaj, on the other hand, raised many eyebrows with her nun-like sack she wore on the red carpet. She entered the scene arm and arm with a man dressed up to be the Pope as she sported a Versace, scarlet red hood. Not only did her fashion choice seem strange to viewers, her performance is what put her in the ranks of Lady Gaga performances.

The rapper had a religiously infused performance for her single, "Roman Holiday," with dancers dressed in priestly robes, confession, levitations, and an exorcism. Some fans enjoyed it, some were angry, but almost all were confused at her controversial move.
