The Grammy Awards are just as much about the awards as they are about competition, pride, and fashion. The races were off as Adele, Taylor Swift, and other fierce divas went head to head for this prestigious recognition in its 54th year.

Congrats to Adele who took home all the big awards in her category--including Record of the Year and Song of the Year! The soulful diva has definitely soared in her short career in the limelight.

However, Adele was not the only star front and center. Before the show even began, heads were turning and eye brows were raised at the odd fashion choices made by certain artists.

"I think in the last five to seven years the Grammys have become a showcase for the most outlandish look in fashion. If an artist comes in couture, it is usually accompanied with a statement," said style expert and TV host Sam Saboura.

"It's usually one-up game at the Grammys," said Saboura. "Now artists have stylists fixing their trains on the red carpet. It's become as dramatic as the Oscars. We expect craziness."

Stars like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift kept it classy and glamorous. Other artists like Fergie and Nicki Minaj brought home the craziness.

"Not into all of this weird fashion at the Grammy's #odd," a fan wrote on Twitter.

"Still getting over how freaking weird Grammy fashion is... If that's what you wanna call it"

"I'd love Nicki Minaj if she didn't dress so ridiculously. Pisses me off"

"Fergie.. That dress.. no. #GRAMMYs"
