Victoria's Secret model Kylie Bisutti has decided to leave the top lingerie brand because of her Christian faith.
This buzz-worthy news is hitting the media as the world is wondering who this brave woman is, that she gives up the much-coveted glory, in order to be a better role model for young girls, a better wife for her husband, and not to be a sex symbol.
Enough reason to admire her.
"He's (God) is molding me to become the woman He wants me to be. I'm just so thankful I get to take part in His plan!" Bisutti declared to the Twitter world on Saturday.
Chosen as a Victoria's Secret model out of 10,000 candidates in 2009, Bisutti was never comfortable modeling the revealing lingerie.
The 21-year old married her husband Mike right before the competition.
And even though "Victoria's Secret was my absolutely biggest goal in life, and it was all I ever wanted career-wise," her Christian faith has convicted her strongly enough to leave that glorious path.
"My body should only be for my husband, it's just a sacred thing," she said. "It's a very hard industry to be in without falling into things you don't want to do. I've fallen into many things that I wouldn't have wanted to do; it's a very tempting industry."
Would other Victoria's Secret angels' hubbies want to hear that?
"The more I was modeling lingerie, and lingerie isn't clothing, I just started becoming more uncomfortable with it because of my faith. I didn't really want to be that kind of role model for younger girls because I had a lot of younger Christian girls that were looking up to me and then thinking that it was okay for them to walk around and show their bodies in lingerie to guys."
She seems to be really strong in her faith.
"I'm Christian, and reading the Bible more, I was becoming more convicted about it. It was pretty crazy because I finally achieved my biggest dream, the dream that I always wanted, but when I finally got it, it wasn't all that I thought it would be. Especially being married I just wanted to keep my marriage sacred because divorce rates now in America are pretty high, and I just want to do everything I can to keep my marriage special."
The decision was partly inspired by her eight-year-old cousin when she was doing her makeup in the mirror, Bisutti told GMA.
Her cousin said, "You know, I think I want to stop eating so I can look like you."
“It just broke my heart because she looks up to me and I didn’t want to be that type of person that she thought she had to do that to be beautiful,” Bisutti said. “Thousands of girls that think that being beautiful is an outer issue and really it’s a heart issue.”
Now her goal "is just to be a better role model for the youth. I just want them to see me as somebody that they can look up to and somebody that's going to be dressing appropriately, and I'm not going to get into things that I wouldn't want them to be getting into. I just want people to see something different about me because I have that faith, and I think it's so important for everyone to have."
“I just became so convinced of honoring the Lord and my body and wanting to be a role model for other women out there who look up to me,” Bisutti told ABC News in an interview.
Victoria's Secret is about to open two stores in Israel.
