Politics hits New York Fashion Week. Last night, Anna Wintour and Scarlett Johansson ran a mini fundraiser campaign called "Runway to Win" to support the re-election of President Obama.

Totes and Scarves were sold at cheap prices. All from this ordeal, republicans pounced at the idea that he could be receiving illegal corporate donations in order to keep the prices of the items low. People also commented that the event is another sign of him being out of touch with Americans. All and all these are simply remarks and nothing else.

Amidst the republican swords being drawn, there were supporters by big name designers. Some people who attended include model trio-of-the-moment Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman, and Joan Smalls. Designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and Alexander Wang also all took time out from what is probably their busiest time of the year to come out to support Obama.
