Chris Brown is set to perform at the Grammy Awards this Sunday, for the first time in three years since he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna at a pre-Grammy party in 2009.

Tuesday, the Recording Academy announced Brown's comeback at the 54th Grammy Awards where he is nominated for three awards, according to The Associated Press.

Aside from joining deadmau5, Foo Fighters, David Guetta and Lil Wayne for a first-time tribute to dance/electronica music, Brown will be performing three songs, according to Perez Hilton.

Rumors swirl around the Barbadian R&B singer's reunion with Rihanna.

But the nightmare from three years ago still vividly remains in our memories. On February 8, 2009, the singers cancelled their scheduled performances after the report of Brown's physical beatdown on his girlfriend.

While serving five years of probation, Brown slowly recovered his once-damaged reputation as he released multiple mixtapes and album "F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies)."

Let's just wish that he would come with his best behavior, and let America forgive him before talking about forgiving others.

Rihanna garnered four nominations for the upcoming Grammys, including Album of the Year for "Loud."

She was spotted last weekend in her new blonde hair and her Armani denim jumpsuit. The singer's fashion is also buzz-worthy.
