U.S. Soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo recently addressed leaked nude photos of herself that circulated online.

On Tuesday, the athlete addressed the issue via her official Facebook page where she wrote, "It is extremely sad and unfortunate that the rights of so many women are violated by the unauthorized release of private photographs. This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency, and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy."

Solo also addressed the domestic violence charges filed against her claiming that she assaulted her 17-year-old nephew and sister-in-law, according to TMZ.

"While I understand that the public desires more information regarding the allegations against me, I continue to maintain my innocence against these charges. And, once all the facts come to light and the legal process is concluded, I am confident that I will be fully exonerated," she wrote.

Back in June, the 33-year-old Olympic gold medalist was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence after she allegedly attacked two family members, E! News reported.

Solo pled not guilty was released from custody without posting any bail. If she will be convicted, the athlete will be faced with a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail or more than $5,000 in fine, the same publication noted.

Meanwhile, the U.S. soccer chiefs still allowed Solo to continue playing as part of the national team and they are standing by their decision to do so, the Daily Mail noted.

Despite taking issues of domestic violence seriously, U.S. soccer chiefs continued to allow Solo to play while she awaits trial.

"From the beginning, we considered the information available and have taken a deliberate and thoughtful approach regarding Hope Solo's status with the national team. Based on that information, U.S. Soccer stands by our decision to allow her to participate with the team as the legal process unfolds. If new information becomes available, we will carefully consider it," the official statement read.
