Alexis Bittar reveals plans to launch lines in affordable fine jewelry as well as watches, eyewear and handbags.

The New York based jewelry designer, who has collaborated with Michael Kors and Jason Wu in runway collections previously, told WWD his plan to launch a line blending the bridge and fine jewelry category on January 30th.

In terms of the release date, he is still speaking with retailers about carrying the collection by the end of the year. Bittar added that the watches and eyewear will be launched in 2013 and handbags in 2014.

In addition to the up and coming lines, TSG Consumer Partners, a private equity firm, announced to be Bittars new investment partner. He remains; however, the labels ceo and creative director.
