In a recent interview with AMC, "The Walking Dead" executive producer David Alpert has said that he cannot wait to introduce the comic villain Negan into the mega-hit zombie TV series.

Asked what one element from the show he wished was in the comic, Alpert answered, "It's more like things in the comic that I can't wait to get to."

"I cannot wait until we introduce Negan. He is just like the coolest f-ing character on the planet," he said.

"You thought the Governor was bad news? Man, wait until you meet Negan! He's one of the greatest villains ever created. It's so exciting," added Alpert.

Negan, a character first introduced in Issue 100 of Image Comics' "The Walking Dead," was the leader of The Saviors and is a primary antagonist in the comic series, according to The Walking Dead Wiki.

Into paying tribute to The Saviors, in exchange for protection against zombies, he uses his authority and resources to suppress other communities like The Hilltop Colony, The Kingdom and eventually the Alexandria Safe-Zone.

The subjugated communities then join forces and start a clash against The Saviors, resulting in Negan's life imprisonment. The Saviors then ends up under the leadership of Dwight, former lieutenant and defector, who is now willing to cooperate with all other survivors of the zombie apocalypse.

Negan is "easily the most badass mofo ever" to go against Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the gang. In fact, he has a baseball bat he called Lucille, which he uses in breaking skulls, Moviepilot reported.

Alpert's excitement about Negan's impending introduction in the TV series is quite the opposite from the thoughts of comic book creator Robert Kirkman.

Asked by Daily Dead last month if that fans can expect to see Negan in the TV adaptation anytime soon, he answered, "Not really. At the pace that we're going, we're talking about somewhere like Season 12. We certainly don't think that far ahead about what's going to be on the TV show. I'm very happy that I'm still able to produce the comic book series with the same level of freedom and the TV show doesn't enter in my head. I'm still telling the story that I've always intended to and we'll deal with it in the show somehow, some way."

But when the people behind the show are already ready to introduce Negan, fans should expect the ping-pong loving villain to be "a little less foul-mouthed" than his comic counterpart since AMC is apparently not a fan of the f-word, Cinemablend reported.

"The Walking Dead" Season 5 premieres Oct. 12 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
