Steve Madden together with Mickey Boardman reveals plans to publicize New York Fashion Week through social media. The whole demise is operating under the name "Crashin' Fashion Week."
The pair promises to do runway reviews, behind-the-scenes news and party reports starting February 1st through social media and TaxiTv.
Madden states "Social media is about democracy, and I'm all about bringing fashion to the people."
He continues "We've found the perfect vehicles in Facebook, Twitter and mobile... it works for us in a big way."
The plan is to build upon last years work by placing more videos on Taxi TV as well as other means using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Social Media has been an increasing popular platform of choice to broadcast news to the people, especially among other fashion capitals including New York Fashion Week. Labels like Dian von Furstenberg, Carolina Herrera and Narciso Rodrguez will live-stream shows to consumers. Designers to look-out for at this New York Fashion week from February 9-16 include J. Mendel, Reem Acra and Michael Kors.
