Shakira is soon going to be a mom of two!

After weeks of pregnancy speculation, the 37-year-old Colombian singer confirmed to the Spanish edition of Cosmopolitan that she is expecting her second child with boyfriend Gerard Pique. "Pues sí, la verdad es que sí, estoy embarazada (Yes, the truth is that yes, I'm pregnant.)," she said in her native tongue.

Prior to her confirmation, Carlos Vives - a Colombian singer and a close friend of Shakira - first revealed the news during an interview on Fox News Latino in July, according to Daily Mail. "Yes, she is pregnant and she's very happy," he said.

Shakira, who is already a mother to 19-month-old son Milan, said last April that she was too busy with her work to have another baby. "If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already," she told Latina. "I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard-my own fútbol team."

In the same interview, the two-time Grammy-winning recording artist opened up about how motherhood has changed her. "When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world," she explained. "You just want to share the good news and share how happy you feel."

Shakira met her 27-year-old footballer boyfriend in spring 2010 when he appeared in the music video for her song "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)," the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The singer officially confirmed their relationship in March 2011 via social media. Pique plays centre back for FC Barcelona and for the Spanish national team.

When asked by Glam Belleza Latina if she and Pique will ever get married, the "The Voice" coach said, "We already have what's essential, you know? We have a union, a love for each other, and a baby. I think that those aspects of our relationship are already established, and marriage is not going to change them. But if I'm ever going to get married, he's the one," according to E! News.
