Maisie Williams has passed her driving test on her first try!

The 17-year-old British actress, who plays Arya Stark in the hit HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones," learned the good news Friday morning, Aug. 22.

Williams, who had driving lessons at RED Driving School, admitted that she was so nervous before the actual test that she did not tell her family and friends about it until it was all over, Daily Mail reported.

"I didn't tell anyone my test date so no one knows I had my test this morning!" she explained. "I was really scared leading up to it as it's not something you can go out and practice on your own and due to my schedule I haven't been able to get out driving much recently."

But when she finally learned that she passed, she admitted that she nearly cried because of too much joy. "When the examiner told me I had passed I said no way and then jumped out the car, hugged Dave my RED Driving School instructor and nearly cried," she said, according to MTV UK.

Her decision to take the test during a filming break from "Game of Thrones" was inspired by a similar move her co-star Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) took in 2013."My colleague Sophie Turner passed her driving test last year in between filming and I wanted to do the same," said Maisie, adding that she was really determined to pass her driving test during her free time this year because filming for the fifth season of "Game of Thrones" would commence next week.

Now that she has passed her driving test, Williams is excited about being offered a much wider choice of roles.

"I have been sent through so many scripts where my character drives and it's been such a heart-breaking moment when I realize I can't go for it," she shared. "So many more doors will be opened for me now."

As for her dream car, Williams wants a "dark green original Mini with a white roof and green stripes," according to Express. She knows she is going to buy herself a green car but has not yet made up her mind on the brand.

"Game of Thrones" returns on HBO next year.
