"19 Kids and Counting" star Jill Duggar and husband Derick Dillard, recently graced the cover of People Magazine where they revealed that they are expecting their first child together.

The couple, who got married in June, admitted that she took two pregnancy tests that were both negative, according to said publication.

"My sisters were asking if I was pregnant and I'm like, 'noooo' and they're like, 'Well, mom has pregnancy test upstairs and you could be pregnant so you should take one!" Jill said.

"It was more like to prove them wrong  -- like, I'm not pregnant, I'm going to show you so, 'Well,'" she added.

Derick recalled what it was like finding out that his wife is already expecting their first child together. "It was surreal. We were shocked. Both of us are so excited," he dished.

The would-be dad also revealed that his wife kept screaming when they found out the wonderful news. "I told her, 'Babe, you don't want to hyperventilate and have the baby stressed out!'" he teased.

Meanwhile, Jill's father, Jim Bob Duggar revealed that 30 days after his daughter and Derick's wedding, the couple gathered everyone in the room to share the happy news, E! News reported.

"About 30 days after Jill and Derick got married they gathered everyone in the living room and shared the news. Everyone was clapping and cheering, we were in shock, too," he said.

Jill is most likely less than two months pregnant, Hollywood Life noted. But the trained midwife who helped raise her 18 other siblings gushed at the idea of mothering her own child.

"Being a mother is something I've always dreamed of, and I'm so excited to raise this little one with Derick. All the first milestones will be so fun."

"19 Kids and Counting" returns on September 2 at 9 p.m. on TLC.
