Robin Williams was paying out more than $30 million worth of alimony to his former wives Valerie Velardi and Marsha Garces, and this could have possibly contributed to his depression that pushed him to commit suicide, according to New York Daily News.

Williams and his Velardi got married on June 4, 1978 and had a son named Zachary Pym Williams born on April 11, 1983.

While married to Velardi, Williams was involved in an extramarital relationship with a cocktail waitress named Michelle Tish Carter, who sued him for transmitting the herpes simplex virus to her, NTD reported.
In 1988, Williams and Velardi divorced.

While Velardi has yet to comment on Williams’ death, Williams’ second wife Garces has issued a statement.
“My heart is split wide open and scattered over the planet with all of you. Please remember the gentle, loving, generous. And yes, brilliant and funny man that was Robin Williams,” Garces said.

“My arms are wrapped around our children as we attempt to grapple with celebrating the man we love, while dealing with this immeasurable loss,” she added.
Garces was a Filipino American hired by Velardi as Zachary’s nanny.
Williams married Garces on April 30, 1989 when was several months pregnant with their daughter Zelda Rae Williams. They also have a son named Cody Alan Williams.
Citing irreconcilable differences, Garces filed for divorce from Williams in March 2008. Even after their divorce, the two still maintained a close relationship, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry.
The late actor’ three children supported his wedding with his third wife Susan Schneider on October 23, 2011, which was attended by celebrities including Billy Crystal, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.
According to Schneider, Williams was suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
On Aug. 11, Monday, Williams was found unresponsive by his personal assistant inside his home. No suicide note was found but the Marin County Sheriff's Office authorities concluded he killed himself.
