Derek Hough has a new gig! The "Dancing with the Stars" pro will now appear on ABC series "Nashville." Are you excited?

He shared the news on Twitter, retweeting a message from the "Nashville" writers.

"So excited for @derekhough from @DancingABC to be joining our fantastic cast! Get pumped, #Nashies!! #ABClove," it read.

Deadline reports Hough will play 20-something actor Noah West, is tapped to portray a country artist in a biopic. He will appear in a multi-episode arc, and is also set to return for season 19 of "Dancing with the Stars."

The network requires the hunky blonde to play a "beguiling and disarming" guy.

"Nashville" returns September 24, and Hough will appear in the series starting October.

Hough won five seasons of "DWTS," and won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography in 2013. He acted in a London stage production of "Footloose: The Musical" and independent dance film "Make Your Move."

 He holds a world champion title in Under 21 Latin American Dance.

The dancer, whose sister is star Julianne Hough, has been romantically linked to Shannon Elizabeth, Cheryl Cole and Nina Dobrev.
