Maybe Candy Spelling was right when she blasted claims Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott were broke. The troubled couple is allegedly renting a $20k per month beach home in Malibu with three bedrooms and wall-to-ceiling windows boasting a view of the Pacific.

"They had two SUVs filled with nannies, the kids, and tons of crap from their house," an insider told Radar Online. "The home comes furnished, but they brought surf boards, bags of food, cooking equipment, and tons of luggage."

There is long-term leasing for the home at $20,000 per month if you stay a year or more, but short-term leasing prices will vary up to $40,000 per month," a listing rep told the site.

Spelling and McDermott, who let their marital woes play out on "True Tori," enjoyed a day at the zoo Thursday with children Liam, 7, Stella, 6, Hattie, 2, and Finn, almost 2.

The "True Tori" star wrote in her 2013 memoir "Spelling It Like It Is" that she was in "financial ruin," while her mother pointed out all the clothing lines, books and TV shows she has had success with.

"After selling our Encino house at a loss, we were hoping to make a bit of the money back on Malibu," the actress wrote. "We'd sunk a lot of money into it ... But our [Malibu] house took a few months to sell, and when it did, it was for two hundred thousand dolls less than we had paid. You heard of those people who flip houses to make money? We were the opposite: flippers who lost major sums of money on every transaction. My restlessness would be our financial ruin."

Spelling, who has been through a rough few months with McDermott, blamed her lavish upbringing for lacking in basic life skills. Her mother blasted these claims as well, stating she tries to help.

Spelling says her daughter is very successful during a chat with "The Talk" in May.
