Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy are adorable and in love, but there was no "love at first sight" in this relationship! Falcone revealed on "Chelsea Lately" he thought his funny wife was "really scary" when they first met.

"She was a couple years older than me. She was in college in my hometown where I went to high school [and] she was this goth person," he told Chelsea Handler. "She had blue hair and she was really scary."

"In a good way!" Falcone added. "Scary and pretty ... I just stared at her in horror. She wore kabuki makeup and blue hair and heavy black coats in the summertime. She had a whole thing."

He also revealed his choice apparel from back in the day.

"I had long bangs and a couple of earrings and A Clockwork Orange shirts and Tevas," Falcone explained. "I had a whole situation...I was light-alt...The girls that I knew were also light-alt, and they would look - they didn't know it was Melissa - and they would say, 'Man, I wish my mom would let me dress like that."'

"So I knew who she was all those years ago and then I married her many years later," he continued.

McCarthy revealed in June she used to cry about how she looked.

"In my 20s I used to cry about why I wasn't thinner or prettier, but I want to add that I also used to cry about things like: 'I wish my hair would grow faster. I wish I had different shoes ...,'" she told PEOPLE.

"I was an idiot ... It's a decade of tears."

The funny actress continued, "I've never felt like I needed to change. I've always thought, 'If you want somebody different, pick somebody else.' But sure, criticism can sometimes still get to me. Some things are so malicious, they knock the wind out of you."
