It looks like "Two and a Half Men" cast member Aly Michalka is engaged to her boyfriend of just over a year and a half, Stephen Ringer.

According to Us Weekly, the 25-year-old actress was more than happy to take to her Instagram account to announce the big news in the early hours of Wednesday, July 16th. The former blonde posted a photo of her stunning diamond engagement ring and the caption, "So this happened.....7/8."

The songstress who is one half of 78Violet, which is a girl band with her younger sister AJ initially posted a picture of herself casually wearing her newest accessory while posing with her younger sister AJ at a recent event.

Aly Michalka teased fans about her engagement with the caption, "Hmmm....no one's noticed yet. #Lookcloser."

However, the former Disney star was unable to control her excitement much longer as she shared a new picture featuring a close up of her ring.

The actress also took to Twitter to spread news of her engagement. Michalka tweeted, "Wanted to share the exciting news! Feel very blessed to know such a great love #engaged x Aly."

Earlier this month, Aly Michalka shared a picture of herself and her film director boyfriend, marking their one year and seven month anniversary.

In the snapshot the two smiled taking a break from their romantic dinner together. In a picture posted a few days later, Aly and her boyfriend Stephen Ringer cuddled up to each other for another intimate photo while staying in Big Sur, a few days prior to becoming engaged.

No news of their upcoming wedding plans but we will be following the couple closely now that they are engaged.
