"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star Kim Kardashian has clarified her controversial advice to pregnant women to go hiding in her recent interview with Elle magazine, New York Daily News has learned.

"I recommend hiding for a good year and having no pregnancy style," Kardashian said when the magazine asked her to provide tips for covering up a growing baby bump. "If you can do it, hide. Never leave the house."

When her sister Khloe chimed in, "Okay, well that's not practical. Give a different answer," Kanye West's wife replied, "That's really my recommendation. Wear a huge blanket."

In 2013, the 33-year-old reality star confessed she was offended by criticisms about her weight gain while she was pregnant with daughter North, Mirror reported.

She recently took to Twitter to explain after she came under fire due to those comments.

"I guess you can't be sarcastic when doing interviews! I was asked about tips on pregnancy style...," she tweeted.

"I jokingly said pregnant women should hide/stay in if they looked like I did lol. I said ask Kourt her tips bc she has the best preg styles," she also wrote.

"I really should start video taping the interviews I do & post on my website so u can see the laughs & how it's really said," she added.

During the interview with the magazine, Kardashian also revealed her favorite maternity clothing retailer. "I will say A Pea in the Pod saved my life at the end of my pregnancy. I even wear their tanks now to work out in because they're really long."

She also gave advice to her 35-year-old sister Kourtney on pregnancy fashion.

"I'm not really into maternity clothes. This is the Kardashian collection, and it's just a size bigger than I would normally get," she told her.

Recently, photos of Kourtney with baby bump and her 31-year-old boyfriend Scott Disick and their 4-year-old son Mason by her side emerged amid rumors the two are headed towards a breakup, E! Online reported.
