"Glee" star Becca Tobin's boyfriend Matt Bendik was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room. The Philadelphia police department is calling Bendik's death a "sudden death."

According to TMZ, Law enforcement sources said that Bendik was found in bed "face down" by a housekeeper.

After the discovery of his body, police and paramedics responded to the hotel shortly after 1 p.m. EDT on Thursday, from there Bendik was pronounced dead almost immediately at 1:17 p.m.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that it's apparent he died at some point earlier, possibly in his sleep. There were no drugs or drug paraphernalia found in his hotel room and a detective made no mention of alcohol on the incident report.

The incident report made no mention of any medications or weapons in the room, there were also no injuries found on his body.

The sources insisted that there is no reason to believe foul play was involved in his death, there was also no evidence of suicide.

Sources close to Becca Tobin revealed that she was not in Philadelphia during the time of her boyfriend's death.

The last person to see Matt Bendik alive was the manager at a club in Philadelphia just before midnight Wednesday.

This is significant to the investigation because Tobin did not leave with her beau contrary to what other reports have claimed.

Matt Bendik ran several major clubs around the country but was especially known in the Los Angeles night life scene. There he was the Director of Operations at DBA Nightclub and was also co-owner of AV Nightclub.

Surprisingly Bendik was not much of a partier and friends are completely shocked and devastated by his "sudden death. "

Matt Bendik's unexpected and unexplained death comes just days before the one year anniversary of Becca Tobin's "Glee" costar Cory Monteith's death on Sunday, July 13th.
