Liam Hemsworth stayed mum thus far on his failed engagement to Miley Cyrus. Now, The New York Post allegedly heard "The Hunger Games" hunk talking about his ex in Italy. Keep reading to find out what he said!

Hemsworth was heard saying he had a "powerful connection" to his "The Last Song" co-star, and that they would "always be best friends."

"Liam kept raving about how amazing she was, how much they clicked and understood everything about each other," says a source.

Cyrus has been more vocal about their split, evident on her track "Wrecking Ball." She also used choice words at London's G.A.Y. club performance on her "Bangerz" tour.

"...So I'm gonna tell those motherf--kers that broke my heart, particularly one, to suck my fat d--k and to enjoy hearing this song for the rest of your life. This song is called Wrecking Ball," she said at one point.

She later assured fans she was not talking about Hemsworth on Twitter, but who knows?

"Just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam. I was just tryin to rile up the boys," she wrote.

Adding, "I don't usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn't something I want being spread around. It sounded hateful but not what I meant."

"I never want hateful things being said about those I care about... I was just tooooo turnttttt up."

A secret Cyrus track leaked earlier this month, called "Last Goodbye," which also sounded like Hemsworth.

The video was quickly deleted, but some lyrics include, "We never said that we would be perfect, We only said that we tried."

"And when you said that we were forever, I guess that's just another lie, Let me slip right through your fingers, I hope you know it's real this time."
