Singer and fashion designer Jessica Simpson married her ex-NFL footballer fiancé Eric Johnson on July 5 at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif., E! Online reported.
After pushing back two previously set wedding dates, 33-year-old Simpson finally exchanged vows with 34-years old Johnson in front of more than 250 guests in a rose garden under a canopy of chevron seating.
The statement released by the couple read, "We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment. To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."
After their wedding rehearsal dinner, Simpson and Johnson hosted a pre-wedding barbeque during the Fourth of July holiday. Their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and Southern buffet with delicious desserts.
"We're having a real Americana 4th of July party. It's very down home. But it's not a T-shirt and jeans Americana. Because Eric's from Boston, it's more khakis and white shirts. Very Kennedy," their wedding planner Mindy Weiss told People.
"Eric's family alone is almost 90 people, so it'll definitely be a big event," Simpson told USA Today prior to their wedding day.
Simpson and Johnson have been dating since 2010 and they have two kids together, a two-year-old daughter named Maxwell and a one-year-old son named Ace.
In May, Simpson told USA Today, "I want to see what comes out. It's time for me to find that out, and I can't wait for my kids to experience that with me. Even Eric. He's never seen me perform onstage."
Aside from singing, Simpson is also a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
After giving birth of her son in 2013, Simpson lost 55 pounds. Wearing a custom-made pale pink Carolina Herrera wedding gown, Simpson flaunted the result of her weight loss during her big day.
Present during the wedding are Simpson's parents Joe and Tina Simpson, her sister Ashlee Simpson and fiancé Evan Ross, Donald Faison, couple Jessica Alba and Cash Warren and her friend and former personal assistant CaCee Cobb.
