Nicki Minaj is quickly dismissing rumors that she is feuding with Iggy Azalea after many thought she was throwing shade at the "Fancy" rapper during her BET Awards 2014 acceptance speech for Best Female Hip Hop Artist.

According to E! News, the "Pills n Potions" rapper took to her Twitter account Wednesday morning to clear up the recent allegations that she dissed Nick Young's girlfriend on Sunday night.

Although she did not mention the Australia native by name, it was not hard to tell that she was feeling some type of way about certain female rappers who do not write their own material.

She tweeted, "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different," adding, "I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us!

"I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I've been saying this for 5 YEARS."

Nicki Minaj, 31, went on to say, "I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud.

"That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard. I hope I inspire up & coming females to do that."

What caused the misunderstanding was when the Young Money artist took the stage at the award show and said, "This is always very, very emotional for me. Because this is my fifth year winning this award and I don't take it for granted. I really don't."

"But my point is, what I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is, that when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."

Drake's label mate then posed like a diva and continued on with her acceptance speech saying, "No, no, no shade. No, no, no shade." But clearly everyone else thought otherwise.
