Candy Spelling Slams Reports Daughter Tori Spelling And Dean McDermott Are Financially Broke

Candy Spelling is blasting claims that her daughter, Tori, whose father is the late TV mogul Aaron Spelling, and husband Dean McDermott have financial troubles. Spelling says her daughter is very successful during a chat with "The Talk" on Monday.

The "True Tori" star wrote in her 2013 memoir "Spelling It Like It Is" that she was in "financial ruin," while her mother pointed out all the clothing lines, books and TV shows she has had success with.

"After selling our Encino house at a loss, we were hoping to make a bit of the money back on Malibu," the actress wrote. "We'd sunk a lot of money into it ... But our [Malibu] house took a few months to sell, and when it did, it was for two hundred thousand dolls less than we had paid. You heard of those people who flip houses to make money? We were the opposite: flippers who lost major sums of money on every transaction. My restlessness would be our financial ruin."

Spelling, who has been through a rough few months with McDermott, blamed her lavish upbringing for lacking in basic life skills. Her mother blasted these claims as well, stating she tries to help.

"I'd never leave my kids in distress. I'm always there to support her. I even bought them a house in Malibu," she said.

When asked if she would let her daughter and grandchildren move in should the marriage end in divorce, Mrs. Spelling replied, "I might buy her an apartment. I don't have room for four kids and a daughter."

The famous producer's daughter will release a new book this year, "Candy At Last," which will reveal family secrets.

Things still appear on the decline between her and her "Chopped Canada" host husband, who both break down in a trailer for the next "True Tori."

We really hope this family can all reconcile! Do you agree? Let us know.
