Beyonce New Album: Singer's Self-Titled Album Sells More Than $1 Million in iTunes Sales, Jay Z Wife's Record Set For Second Week as Number #1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart

Beyonce's new album is a hit, skyrocketing the singer to the top of the Billboard 200 chart again! The new record by Jay Z wife is set to be number #1 for a second week, and has sold more than $1 million in iTunes sales. 

According to the Huffington Postthe good news keeps coming for Mrs. Carter.

On Wednesday at 11:15 a.m., a fan brought the millionth copy of the songbird's latest effort, said a source to the news outlet.  

Beyonce released her fitth solo album as a surprise for fans late last week. Already, the record has became the fastest-selling album to ever hit iTunes, having moved more than $828,773 copies over its first weekend out. At this point, the LP is still an iTunes exclusive, but fans expect to buy physical copies in stores by Christmas.

The "visual album" features 14 tracks, accompanied by 17 videos. Every song has a clip, with most of the material recorded while Queen B was touring the globe as part of her Mrs. Carter World Tour. The huge project was kept under-the-radar, and news of its release spread across social media so quickly. 

Since hitting iTunes, the album has sparked conversations about feminism, consumerism, parenthood and sexual representation, reported Huffington. Several bloggers and Twitter users have posted thoughtful messages about B's music and lyrics.

The RIAA has yet to certify the album platinum, though that's expected to happen soon.

"Beyoncé" is currently only available as a $15.99 package, with song available for individual purchase on Dec. 20.
