Ashley Tisdale 2013: 'High School Musical' Star Releases New 'You're Always Here' Single [LISTEN NOW,] Dedicates Emotional Tribute Song to Late Grandfather

Ashley Tisdale recently released a new single, "You're Always Here" for her fans. The "High School Musical" star dedicated the emotional tribute song to her late grandfather.

According to MTV, the 28-year-old engaged actress finds strength in the new uplifting track, which debuted on Monday.

The blonde singer and star had teased a "new project" that she was working on last week. It turns out that she recorded her latest single with her fiance, Christopher French, who produced it.

The song is described as a mid-tempo ballad, highlighted by "piano, organ and a blippy beat." The touching track is apart of helping Tisdale heal after losing a special man in her life.

The actress shared her late grandfather, Arnold had inspired the song on Twitter. The lyrics are very personal and heartfelt.

"They say that love won't die/ And then I realize/ What will be will be/ You're always here with me," sings Tisdale on the chorus. "And in the darkest night/ I feel you by my side/ What will be will be/ You're always here with me."

The former Disney darling hasn't released music in four years since her "Guilty Pleasure" album. But she dished about getting back to music to MTV News earlier this year.

"It's so funny," explained Tisdale. "I've been asked that question a lot, and I've just always been somebody who needs to be inspired, obviously, to do something. I don't just want to do it just to do it. But I have been missing music, so I think I'm going to be going to the recording studio, like, next week."

But Tisdale was unsure about just what types of songs she would put out to her fans.

"I'm still feeling it out," said the actress in April. "I want to surprise people a little bit, something different from what I've done before. I started actually last year recording, but you know, I'm just still trying to find exactly what I want to do."
