Staff Picks: Clarissa Hamlin Shares Her Weekly Faves

This time of year, I usually stock up on skin care serums that help me to battle winter's cold temperatures. But sometimes, it's best for me to enjoy and re-discover the products that already take up space on my vanity. SoftSheen Carson's AMLA Legend hair care collection is one of my current must-haves, moisturizing and soothing my dry hair. The AMLA Legend Billion Hair Potion, along with Chrome Girl Nail Polish and Trish McEvoy's Mobile Beauty Emergency Kit, are a few buys that I'm obsessing over again. The first pick is helping me to combat dry, brittle hair. My strands are currently being treated to AMLA Legend Billion Hair Potion, a $10 buy that hits high notes with me. The moisturizer has amla oil, arginine and strengthening ceramides to make my hair feel softer. I like to apply a few drops to my mane at least once a day, if not twice. My locks already feels nourished and silky after using this product  as a part of my daily regimen.

But when it comes to my nails, I love to just keep them decorated with lacquers like Chrome Girl Nail Polish's Fall/Winter 2013 collection. The formulas, each priced at $12, come in six stunning jewel-toned colors. My favorite shade is Pleasure Treasure, a deep plum that I can't get enough of right now. The polishes are very shiny and highly pigmented, making my nails a main attraction. I don't use this product as a treatment, but because the colors pop!

And in recent years, Trish McEvoy's Mobile Beauty Emergency Kit has come in handy. I admire the celebrity makeup artist/industry expert for creating an amazing product, and empowering women to take control of their beauty regimens. The $68 set, which arrived in stores in 2010, is a phone case with a hidden makeup compartment. The time-saving palette features a natural blush, apricot gloss (my favorite,) a trio of nude-to-vibrant lip colors, face and lip brushes. This item is perfect for cosmetic touch-ups when I'm super busy.
