Blake Lively Vogue Interview: Ryan Reynolds' Wife Confused By Fashion, Former 'Gossip Girl' Says 'It's Funny'

Who would have ever thought that fashionista and "Gossip Girl" star would ever be confused by fashion? Ryan Reynolds' wife apparently had a hard time of understanding the concept of the fashion calendar in which spring clothes are shown in autumn, autumn clothes are shown in the spring.

Blake Lively got a fashion wakeup call when she attended Gucci's spring/summer 2014 show during Milan Fashion Week.

She told Vogue UK, "It was actually really funny leading up to it because I was saying: 'I wonder what the collection is like, I wonder if it will be bright, or dark,' and someone said: 'Well it might be bright because it's spring,' and I said: 'No, it's fall,' and they said: 'It's spring!'

"And of course they're not showing fall collections in the fall!"

She told the magazine, "It's funny, as involved as I am in fashion and as much a part of my life as it is, I still thought: 'Oh!'"

Lively, is currently the face of the Italian fashion house's Premiere fragrance. Last year she told the magazine that she had always struggled to see the spring/summer fashion shows due to her hectic filming schedule.

She explained, "I've always been working on Gossip Girl in the fall so I've never been to a fashion week aside from in the spring - I've never seen a spring collection!

"I came out of high school and went into working on Gossip Girlstraight afterwards, so it's a really new thing for me to have free time in the fall."

However, the actress did admit that her favorite way to watch the shows is online.

"I don't know, I like a quiet life. And you can think: 'What does this dress look like, how does it photograph,'" she said.

She added, "But I really like going to couture shows - the clothes are all beaded and embroidered and there are details that are alive in couture that just don't translate in photos."
