Vanessa Bruno Showcases her Collection at Paris Fashion Week

Parisian fashion designer Vanessa Bruno showcased her fall/winter ready-to-wear designs at the Paris Fashion Week, March 1.

Living by her ideals of uncomplicated and subtle designs, Bruno dressed the models in ensembles with clear cuts and folds. The designer played around with rich but comfortable fabrics and the models showcased some fabulous and vintage designs.

The designer told WWD that her inspiration behind the collection was actress Catherine Deneuve in "Belle du Jour." "But I didn't want it to be too girly," Bruno added. And that is probably why she sent models down the runway dressed in pinstripe pantsuits teamed with simple white shirts and tops. One of the models not only flaunted a masculine suit but also added on to the look with a tie.

Apart from the pantsuits, Bruno's show also featured flowy dresses and skirts. The shirts featured classic pleats and paired with simple tops, had a youthful and fun edge to it.

An ensemble that caught the eye was a grey and white straight skirt in tweed with a blazer of similar color combination. The creation looked very elegant and formal without being too masculine or girly.

Some of Bruno's dresses and skirts featured vertical metal detailing and some were given a rugged and tough look with metal rings at the hemline.

The designer also showcased formal and warm looking coats and blazers in angular cuts and dramatic buttons. The wide lapels of the warm wear drew attention but were perfectly complimented with matt shades without giving them an over the top look.

The show ended with party numbers with glitzy detailing and plunging necklines.
