Bruce Willis Opens Up to GQ About Sobriety and Previous Stutter Problem

Veteran actor Bruce Willis opened up to GQ magazine about sobriety and previous stutter problem in an interview with the magazine. Willis is on the cover of the newest issue of GQ wearing a grey suit over a chambray suit and tie.

Willis talked about a debilitating stutter that he suffered throughout his childhood and adolescence. According to dailymail.co.uk, Willis revealed to GQ that he was so badly affected by his stuttering that he thought he was disabled.

Willis was able to alleviate this problem by discovering an interest in theatre. Willis stated, "I did some theater somewhere, probably in high school. And when I memorized words, I didn't stutter, which was just miraculous."

"That was the beginning of the gradual dispelling of my stutter. I still stutter around people now", the 57-year-old actor also stated.

Willis also opened up to the magazine about his former drinking problem. Willis was a former spokesman for Seagram's Golden Wine Cooler products until he decided to become sober in 1988, according to dailymail.co.uk.

"I had been sober for a while. But once I realized that I wasn't gonna run myself off the pier of life with alcohol, drinking vodka out of the bottle every day...I have wine now, mostly when I eat", Willis stated during the interview with GQ.

Willis is currently starred in the 5th installment of the Die Hard series entitled A Good Day to Die Hard. The movie will be released on Thursday February 14th just in time for Valentine's Day.
