Stars Ignore CBS’ Grammy Awards Dress Code

The Grammy Awards dress code clearly mentioned that sheer clothing, side boobs, cleavages or bare skin would be not be appreciated but some stars probably didn't read the memo after all as there were a lot of celebs who hit the red carpet in pretty daring outfits for the event at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles, Feb. 10.

For one, Katy Perry seemed to have thrown caution to the wind as she stepped onto the red carpet in a figure hugging mint green dress that showed off her ample cleavage. She looked stunning with her dark locks left loose over her shoulders but we wonder how pleased CBS was.

Singer/actress Ashanti too ignored the dress code as she showed off her cleavage and her toned legs in a sheer black dress

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic," read the memo that the network sent the attendees but Kat Dennings and Kelly Rowland conveniently ignored that part.

Dennings was dressed in a sparkly blue knee length dress teamed with nude heels as she happily flaunted her full cleavage on the red carpet. While Rowland daringly wore a black floor length gown with sheer panels that showed off her cleavage, abs and toned thighs and looked stunning in it. With her hair in an up do and a fun flirty fringe framing her face, Rowland looked completely at ease flaunting her curves.

"I thought about the dress code. And thought about it again. And that's about it. I respect it. See, I wore clothes," Rowland joked with the media, according to Global Post.

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, who was also the presenter for the event, was dressed in a black off-the-shoulder Anthony Vaccarello gown that had a slit up her thigh.

Jlo had created quite a stir a few years ago when she hit the red carpet in a gown with a neckline that was till her naval. Referring to that outfit, JLo joked, "As you can see, I read the memo," to which co-presenter Pitbull replied, "You inspired the memo!"

It wasn't just the ladies ignoring the memo. CBS had specifically mentioned that t-shirts with logos promoting any brand weren't acceptable. But musician Travis Barker happily flaunted a logo of his clothing company, "Famous Stars and Straps," on his t-shirt.

DJ Deadmau5 went even a step further and donned a cap that said, "Your Sh** Bums Me Out" but made an effort to stick to the memo by covering the letter "S" with tape.
