Joseph Abboud, New Men's Wearhouse Chief Creative Director

Joseph Abboud award winning menswear fashion designer named new chief creative director for The Men's Wearhouse.  

The 62 year-old brings thirty plus years of experience, retail leadership and timeless unique designs for the modern men. "I am very excited to partner with Doug Ewert and his team at Men's Wearhouse to take menswear specialty retail to a new level and to continue with George Zimmer 's vision of great quality, great service, and, of course, great value," in a press release statement.

The fashion designer has more than thirty years of experience in men's clothing staring out at age 16 for Louis Boston, later joining Ralph Lauren as associate director of menswear design. He started his own label in 1986 and through the years collected CFDA award for Best Menswear Designer and authored Threads: My Life Behind the Seams in the High-Stakes World of Fashion." 

Abboud resigned as president and chief creative officer of HMX Group, owner of Hickey Freeman brands in November, and now becomes the new creative director of The Men's Wearhouse, "I hope to bring new ideas and innovative concepts directly to the consumer, including the launch of my Jaz collection."
