Nurse Jacintha Saldanha in Kate Middleton Hospital Prank Found Dead [UPDATE]

The Nurse Jacintha Saldanha in Kate Middleton hospital prank call, to get confidential medical information, found dead from an apparent suicide.

Jacintha Saldanha, a nurse working on reception at King Edward VII Hospital was found dead after giving private information about Kate Middleton in a Hoax by Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian Impersonating the Queen and Prince.

The Kings Edwards VII Hospital and the Scotland Yard confirmed that Saldanha was pronounced dead at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning, according to BBC

The Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge issued a statement stating 'Their thoughts and prayers are with Jacintha Saldanha's family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time," adding they're 'deeply saddened' by the tragedy.

The private King Edwards VII Hospital announced Ms Saldanha death with 'very deep sadness' adding "she was an excellent nurse and well respected and popular with all over her colleagues."

The Australian Djs were pretending to be the Queen and Prince Charles and asked if they can be put through to Catherine (Kate). Jacintha put the Prank callers to a nurse who gave details of Kate's Condition. The DJs boast their accomplishment posting the audio recording on its 2DayFM website.

Australian Djs Mel Greig and Michael Christian have been taken off air after global outrage. The Djs hoax call to Kate Middleton, resulted in the suicide of hospital nurse Jacintha Saldanha.

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and 2Day FM released a statment saying they are "deeply saddened by the tragic news of the death of nurse Jacintha Saldanha from King Edward VII's Hospital and we extend our deepest sympathies to her family and all that have been affected by this situation around the world."
