Kim Kardashian Courts Controversy on her Arrival in the Middle East

Reality star Kim Kardashian and controversy are almost synonymous and now the star has set tempers flaring even in the Middle East on her arrival in Kuwait, reports zimbio.com.

Kardashian touched down at the Kuwait International Airport dressed in a black pantsuit which surely made her look classy but she couldn't help but show off a bit of cleavage and her bra in a sheer top. She paired her formal and serious ensemble with a pair of pointy black pumps and accessorized with a black tote and sunglasses. The reality star might have been used to flaunting her full figure back home but the clothes are sure to raise eyebrows in a conservative and religious nation.

The 32-year-old traveled to Kuwait and will also visit Bahrain to launch a couple of Millions of Milkshakes franchises in malls. The star also intends to educate herself about the Middle East. Probably she should start by wearing appropriate clothes so that she can at least complete her task at hand without being deported to the United States.

Kardashian seemed to be happy to be in Kuwait tweeting, "Just touched down in Kuwait!!! Riding to the hotel now! So excited to be here!"

While she had more than one reason to celebrate as the Kardashian Kollection was also launched at Dorothy Perkins in Kuwait, the reality star was welcomed with pretty harsh criticism. Kardashian has a notorious reputation in the Middle East as the conservative beliefs there do not take her short-lived marriage and the sex tape too kindly.

"Her values clash with our traditions as a religiously committed people," Kuwaiti preacher Mohammad Al Tabtabai, told the Gulf News. "Her visit could help spread vice among our youth."

Kardashian's visit was also questioned by Sahar Moussa, a columnist with the Kuwait Times. "I still cannot forgive them for banning so many talented musicians and artistes from entering Kuwait to spread awareness and genuine art," she said calling Kardashian's visit an "unacceptable hypocrisy."
