Celebrity aesthetician Melanie Grant and her glowing skin.

People behind the scenes don't often get credit for what they do. This happens in the beauty industry all the time except for a select few that manage to grow as popular as their celebrity clients. One of those beauty industry insiders is Australian aesthetician Melanie Grant. As The Cut reports, Grant is behind the flawless complexions of Victoria Beckham, Cate Blanchett, supermodel Joan Smalls and fashion designer Nicole Warne. Even Jennifer Aniston follows her on Instagram. Grant's glowing skin is enough of an endorsement and her business has grown beyond Autralian soil. Aside from her facial studios in Melbourne and Sydney, Grant has a West Hollywood branch and another one in Paris. During Paris Fashion Week, she also has a coveted role as Chanel's Skin Expert. Melanie Grant shares her daily skincare routine for enviably clear and glowing skin below.

Melanie Grant's Morning Skincare Routine

Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water

Grant shares with Violet Grey and Cosmopolitan UK that she loves Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water and adds that she travels with bottles of it. Instead of a cleanser, she prefers removing any residue from her evening routine with micellar water and says that preps her skin for her serums and other hydrating products. Another of her go-to micellar waters is Odacité Blue Aura Cleansing Water.

Victoria Beckham by Augustinus Bader Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum

This serum is part of Grant's morning routine and she shares that is has been a mainstay for more than a year. The plumping effect is instant thanks to hyaluronic acid and Bader's patented TFC8 complex leaves the skin deeply hydrated. It's a pricey serum but Grant assures that you'll definitely see improvements in the skin's firmness, brightness, tone and density. She adds that skin will be less red and sensitive. You can also try other antioxidant serums for your morning routine. Grant says she likes vitamin C serums for the brightening and firming effects. Harper's Bazaar recommends these pocket-friendly options: L'Oréal Paris 10% Pure Vitamin C Serum, Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Brightening 20% Vitamin C Serum Capsules and TruSkin Vitamin C Serum 20% Professional Facial Serum with Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid.

Chanel Sublimage La Créme Yeux

Grant's aware that there are mixed opinions about eye cream and agrees that if you already have a great moisturizer, you can skip it. However, she prefers a rich eye cream for her own use and says that aside from plumping up the undereye area, it serves as a good primer for foundation or concealer.

Dr. Babor Repair Cellular Protecting Balm SPF 50

Grant tells Cosmopolitan UK that she likes multi-purpose products. Dr. Babor Repair Cellular Protecting Balm SPF 50 serves as her moisturizer, makeup primer and sun protection. Her advice to is to layer this protecting balm over your day serum and moisturizer as the final skincare step in your morning skincare routine.

Melanie Grant's Evening Skincare Routine

Augustinus Bader The Cleansing Balm

To remove her makeup, dirt and grime in the evening, she uses this "decadent" cleansing balm and takes a little time to massage it over her neck and face to flush out toxins. She uses circular movements on the face and upward movements on the deck and decolletage. She then uses a Resoré Face Towel, which she soaks in tepid water first, to remove the balm with gentle strokes.

Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 PIGM 400

Grant uses this gentle exfoliating lotion every night and shares that it has done "wonders" for her skin's texture and clarity. She's been a loyal user of this exfoliating lotion for "10 or 15 years." She applies it with a cotton pad on her face, neck and decolletage. Note that she always includes her neck and chest area in her routines.

U Beauty Resurfacing Compound

She follows her exfoliant with a retinol product and uses U Beauty Resurfacing Compound. This retinol formula has other actives in it like AHAs, vitamin C and amino acids, so if you're new to it, Grant instructs to use it every other day until your skin can tolerate it well. She also uses a retinol eye cream and it's another longtime staple called CosMedix Opti Crystal.

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream

Her final step in her evening routine is her favorite moisturizer, Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream. It's quite pricey and she reveals that her clients are very careful in applying it. She does, however, applies it generously on her face, neck and bust. Once you take a peek at her Instagram feed, you will agree that it's all worth it.
