Keanu Reeves Finds Female Intruder In His Home Library, 'The Matrix' Star Handles The Situation 'Very Calmly'

Keanu Reeves is the latest victim of the Hollywood home invasions.

A woman is believed to have gained access to the Hollywood Hills residence of the 50-year-old "47 Ronin" actor on Sept. 12, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officials said Friday, Sept. 19, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Canadian actor was sleeping at 4:00 a.m. on Sept. 13, when he heard sounds coming from his home library. He got up and checked out the book room only to find a female intruder in her mid-40's sitting in his chair without uttering a word, according to TMZ.

Law enforcement sources told the celebrity gossip site that the Beirut, Lebanon-born actor "calmly approached her and began speaking to her." He reportedly called 911 "very calmly" and "obtusely" told the dispatcher cops to head to his home quickly.

At around 5:00 a.m., "patrol officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 9000 block of Thrasher Avenue," Sgt. Albert Gonzalez said, according to Los Angeles Times. "Officers detained one female at the location in her 40s."

Gonzalez said police officers met with the actor, who "advised them that she obviously did not belong there."

Gonzalez added that even though the female intruder was "behaving erratically," she was not arrested. Authorities took her into custody, and was later taken for a psychological evaluation.

A trespassing report was made, but no property was taken and no injuries were reported, LAPD confirmed to E! News.

Incidentally, the Reeves' "Speed" co-star Sandra Bullock also came face-to-face with an alleged stalker in her Los Angeles home in June.

According to police affidavits, Bullock saw a male intruder "wearing a dark sweatshirt and dark pants" walked past her bedroom towards the third floor stairs. "She feared for her safety, closed and locked her door to her bedroom and called 911."

Meanwhile, Keanu is starring in the thriller "John Wick," which is slated for an autumn release, as well as in "Knock, Knock" and "The Whole Truth," which are due in 2015.
