Despite the tragic death of actor Paul Walker, 40, the "Fast and Furious 7" movie "won't be scrapped," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

E! News reported that sources revealed to the publication that production on the film is "delayed" seeing as the cast and crew were set to return to Atlanta on Sunday, December 1st, following a break for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Apparently all of the scheduled scenes planned for shooting on the action packed film are on hold "until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest."

Filming had already begun on the big-budget film with the cast consisting of Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson already scheduled to travel to Abu Dhabi in January.

However, director James Wan and executives from Universal pictures made a statement on Sunday morning discussing the future of the project, how they will adjust the script and just "how to proceed in a manner that would be respectful to Walker's death."

The actor who died in a fiery car accident on Saturday November 30th in Valencia, California, leaving behind his 15-year-old daughter Meadow Walker was famous for his role as Brian O'Conner in the movie franchise.
As for the seventh film which is due in theaters July 11th and is set to star the now deceased actor, a studio spokesperson said, "All of us at Universal are heartbroken."

The rep added, "Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the 'Fast and Furious' films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."

Walker can be seen gracing the big screen in one of his final films, "Hours" which is set to hit theaters in December. His crime-thriller "Brick Mansions," is currently in post-production.
