After a trio of womenswear collections, the Rihanna-endorsed River Island's Design Forum Initiative tries their hands at menswear.

British designer T.Lipop will takes the reigns for their autumn/winter 2013 mens clothing collection, bringing 16 bespoke pieces that any male will crave, according to a press release.  The assemblage will include trendy t-shirts, trousers and jackets lining store shelves and showing online beginning in September.

Wondering what is the inspiration behind the clothes?

Well, T.Lipop's muse is function=forum, drawing from a diverse range of "masculine influences." He commingles tailoring, sportswear, decadent wool and leather fabrications to take the brand in a new functional and audacious direction. He will include statement accessories from a charcoal calfskin rutsack to "mirrored rounded" frames for a military aesthetic.

The designer is also known for his signature blend of "progressive cutting techniques, and uses of luxurious fabrics and technology" in creating one-of-a-kind pieces.

To celebrate the launch of his new designs, River Island created a short film that people can view as part of the British Fashion Council's Fash/On Film Initiative at London Collections:Men in June.
