Warby Parker has launched a new Titanium Collection which features 14 frames in strong and light weight titanium. The collection includes both eyeglasses and sunglasses crafted with style and substance.

The collection is Warby Parker’s debut line of metal frames and features a variety of designs from architectural, vintage-inspired, classic, to retro, graphic and glamorous.

“Titanium is used for everything from spacecraft to deep-sea submersibles to helicopter rotors,” said Warby Parker co-founder and co-CEO Neil Blumenthal. “For our very first line of metal eyeglasses, we’ve used the best possible materials to create a boutique-quality frame that’s also incredibly affordable,” he adds.

Titanium for the collection has been sourced from Japan. The temples of the eye wear are made from signature Warby Parker custom acetate, and non-rocking spring hinges sourced from France. The nose pad offers a soft and anti slip fit and the frames that are durable and colorful are made from an innovative Ion Plating technique.

A fashion brand that offers vintage inspired eye wear with a modern twist, Warby Parker was founded in 2010 by four students at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
