The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. has officially opened the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with special merchandise. The store aims to support breast cancer research through the month of October.
‘The Pink Shop’support this cause features exclusive products. “Contributions through our ‘Charge Against Breast Cancer’ program fund important research, which is critical to find a cure for this disease,” says Brendan Hoffman, President and CEO of The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc.
“Supporting breast cancer research is an important cause which our customers and associates are passionate about.”
Bon Ton has eight stores: Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s, Parisian and Younkers and the Pink Shop will feature in all these stores. Bon Ton has its headquarters in York, Pennsylvania and Milwaukee, Wisconsin and operates 272 department stores, which include 11 furniture galleries. The stores offer assortment fashion apparel and accessories for women, men and children, as well as cosmetics and home furnishings.
The Pink Shop carries products like watches, perfumes, tops and dresses, nail lacquers, candies, jewelry and much more. Some of the items like pink polka dot yoga mat, pink sports watch, graphic tees, manicure set, glitter wristlet etc. are exclusive to the Bon Ton Stores.
The Pink Shop merchandise is creative and practical. They are very useful and pink being the color for breast cancer awareness most of the items come in pink. Those items that are not sold in pink like the black sweat shirt or the perfume come with a pink ribbon design or with the pink ribbon charm. The sparkling silver Guess watch comes with a pink ribbon impressed on the dial which looks cute and stylish.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each item in the shop will be donated to fund breast cancer research at each of the Company’s five designated beneficiaries which includes Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Iowa, Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation, Chicago, Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
