LA fashion designer Sue Wong will present her fall fashion preview during the 6th Annual Designer Runway, a luxury and fashion event.
Wong will commence the main event where she will unveil 40 looks from her Fall Collection which will be available with local high-end retailers.
The main event will be Designer Runway, a fashion show contest of 12 Orange County interior design firms. For the competition, each team will be given seven yards of fabric from the Laguna Design Centre Showroom and 90 minutes to create a runway outfit. They will then be awarded first, second and third position by the judging panel. Wong will also be a part of the judging panel who will select the winners for the evening.
Designer Runway 2012 will benefit the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. The society works toward the knowledge, enjoyment and appreciation of music to supplement the school curriculum.
The event also features a culinary experience that includes exotic food and beverages from top local restaurants.
Wong, who lives by the belief of spreading glamour and beauty, has been in the industry for over two decades. She founded her brand in 1985 and is renowned for ethnic and traditional couture styles.
The uniqueness of Wong’s designs and the old Hollywood charm make her very popular. Wong’s Spring 2012 collection, 'Lady or Vamp', was very glitzy and eccentric. The dresses, with exotic embroideries and patterns, were one of a kind. Along with sober colors, Wong also used a lot of darker shades like black, brown and dark green.
Wong also has a range of bridal outfits that are simple, chic and sophisticated, without being over-the-top. Her collection is available from $229 to $829 nationwide at specialty boutiques, and department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Macy’s and in over 27 countries.
The event is scheduled for Sept. 13 and will be held at the Laguna Design Centre.
