Rihanna, along with Sarah Jessica Parker, comedienne Rachel Feinstein, model Jourdan Dunn and author Leandra Medine have teamed up with the luxury Italian label Fendi to personalize their own 3Baguette handbag as part of a charity project.

The five bags will be unveiled during a cocktail party - hosted by Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Venturini Fendi and the brand's chairman and chief executive officer Pietro Beccari - at their new flagship store on New York's Madison Avenue on February 13 and will remain on display for a month according to Female First

During that time the accessories will be available to buy from online auction site launch3baguetteauction.fendi.com, which will go live by the end of January.

The profits will go towards a charity close to each of the celebrity's hearts.

Rihanna has chosen her own charity, The Clara Lionel Foundation, which she founded in 2012, Jourdan has selected The Sickle Cell Disease Association of America and Leandra is supporting the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Rachel will donate proceeds from her bag to the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, while profits from Sarah Jessica Parker's design will go toward The Brain Trauma Foundation.

Pietro Beccari described the project as a "celebration of femininity" and added that each of the stars had "free rein" when designing the bags.

He told WWD: "The Fendi customer is active in different fields and engaged socially. There is not only one kind of woman and they are each excellent in their own field. It's a celebration of femininity.

"They had free rein, choosing their favourite colours, favouring their own personal tastes. It also shows that nothing is impossible with the incredible artisans at Fendi."
