This is not a good look for the Smith family. After a picture surfaced of Willow Smith,13 in bed with a 20-year-old Moises Arias, Will and Jada are facing a Child Protective Services investigation.

The image quickly went viral and caused outraged over the Internet. Sources confirm to Radar Online the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services are looking into the famous parents of the "Whip My Hair" singer.

"The investigation was formally opened last week and is being taken very seriously by the department," a source told the site. "Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren't happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand."

They then added, "Social workers will also be talking separately with Willow, and they also want to talk to the young man in the picture with her as well. This won't just be one or two visits with the family, and it will likely be an open investigation for at least a month, out of an abundance of caution."

Moises, best known for his role on "Hannah Montana," deleted the image after the backlash. Mrs. Smith quickly came to the defense when questioned about it at LAX.

"Here's the deal," she told photographers. "There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it. You're acting like covert pedophiles and that's not cool."

Sources previously told TMZ the couple had "no issue" with the photo because their daughter is "very mature."

They deemed the photo as "an expression of art" and "innocent fun."

"We don't do punishment," the "Hitch" star told Metro last year.

"The way that we deal with our kids is, they are responsible for their lives. Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been - it has a little too much of a negative quality."

He added, "You can do anything you want as long as you can explain to me why that was the right thing to do for your life."
