ABC has developed a summer singing competition titled "Rising Star," and it sure sounds promising!

Hosted by Josh Groban, today's biggest artists such as Kesha, Ludacris and Brad Paisley will be experts. The "Die Young" songstress shared the news with her twitter followers today.

"stoked to be an expert on @RisingStarABC with @BradPaisley @Ludacris and @joshgroban. Watch us on the #BBMAS Sunday!"

Ludacris will be hosting the event at the Las Vegas MGM Garden Arena. Fellow artists involved have their share of hosting experience as well. Paisley has hosted the Country Music Awards alongside Carrie Underwood. Kesha hosted her own MTV special, "Kesha: My Crazy Beautiful Life," while Groban was in the running to take Regis Philbin's spot on "Live!"

"Rising Star" is ABC's second attempt at a live singing competition. It includes real-time voting and will be taped in LA and broadcast live on the East Coast. The show debuts on Sunday, June 22, an unusual time for live television.

Deadline explains votes will be cast with an app, which the singers will be able to keep track of. Contestants are separated from the audience and experts through an LED screen, where they will be able to see their vote talley while they perform.

They must meet threshold for the wall to come down. How nerve wracking!

This is a tough time for reality singing competitions. NBC's "The Voice" has seen a significant decrease in viewers, "American Idol" will air a shorter season, and Simon Cowell's "The X Factor" was cancelled after three seasons.

"The awful stats is in stars created by these shows," Cowell told the Times. "The last true breakout artist we had was Carrie Underwood on [American] Idol. That was eight years ago."
