Miranda Kerr caused a rift between her billionaire boyfriend James Packer and his good friend David Gyngell. Gyngell was allegedly not happy when he left his wife Erica and children and began dating Orlando Bloom's ex.

Gyngell, who is also an Australian media mogul, showed up at Packer's home in an angry mood and began roughing his friend. Both parties were fined $500 for "offensive behavior."

"He fully accepts that he was the instigator of the incident," a spokesman said. "Clearly, had he not turned up at Packer's premises in an angry mood then the confrontation would never have occurred."

Gyngell's wife joked about the incident on Twitter, comparing it to the altercation between Solange Knowles and Jay Z.

"Ok so they're much better dressed and a little more discreet but I feel a kinship with Beyonce, Solange, and Jay Z today," she tweeted.

Both parties told friends they regret the incident and are on good terms.

Packer, who is grandson of broadcast pioneer Kerry Packer, married Erica in 2006 and announced a separation in September. One month later Kerr announced her split from actor husband Orlando Bloom.

"After a period of feeling a little rudderless, I feel like I've set a course again," Bloom told The Mirror of ending their marriage. "I feel very much like I'm at the beginning of something, like I'm going to come into my own as an actor."

"I'm grateful that I've got a great, amicable separation from my ex," he said. "We'd done our best. It was time to say let's give this some breathing space."

Kerr also spoke openly of her new life, though she has been spotted frequently with Bloom and their son, Flynn.

"I'm dating. I'm loving it," she told GQ. "Two happy parents are better than two unhappy parents. This is my time to explore and have some fun. I'm not looking to fall in love again quickly. I still get chatted up a lot. I've had some crazy, ridiculous proposals-stuff that you wouldn't even see in the movies. No blind dates, however, and I never google a man's name before I meet him."
