So we have given you tips on how to take a great selfie, reported on the selfie culture craze, and even supported a positive self-esteem selfie beauty campaign. But get a load of this.

It looks like the art of the selfie is taking new technological shape. Stories out this week reveal that there is now a special mirror that will now take your very best selfie for you!

Now this contraption might sound like a fluke at first, but think about it. Don't you hate when you want to take a great selfie, but your arm just isn't long enough? Well this new mirror solves all your selfie woes.

We have a project by digital agency iStrategyLabs, to thank for this new social media innovation. Dubbed 'S.E.L.F.I.E.,' the magical mirror actually consists of a Mac mini hidden behind the 2-way-mirror, a web cam and LED lights embedded behind it.

The iStrategy website described the unique mirror by saying: Meet S.E.L.F.I.E., the "The Self Enhancing Live Feed Image Engine." Triggered by simply standing in front of the mirror and holding a smile, hidden LED's indicate a countdown, then simulate a "flash" as your photo is taken. The photo is then automatically posted to Twitter (with a watermark/logo)."

How does it work? The facial recognition software installed on the Mac works to recognize you and initiates the photo-taking process. The built-in LED lights are designed to indicate to you when the photo will be taken so you're ready with that gorgeous white smile.

How cool is this new technology? But sadly, don't get too excited just yet. The Huffington Post reports that the mirror is still just an experiment, and is technically not commercially available yet. However, if you're in desperate need to have the newest technology to capture your very best selfie, you can in fact contact iStrategy with any and all inquiries.
