Top New York City plastic surgeon, Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj has released an e-book titled, African-American and Ethnic Rhinoplasty, for both consumers and healthcare professionals interested in these unique Rhinoplasty procedures.

After over a decade of working with patients from African-American and other ethnically diverse backgrounds, Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj realized people from diverse backgrounds were being underserved by a lack of mainstream books and articles regarding their unique needs when seeking and undergoing cosmetic surgery.

"As the United States becomes more racially and ethnically diverse, the number of non-Caucasian patients seeking cosmetic surgery, specifically rhinoplasty continues to increase," he explained.

For minority consumers seeking Rhinoplasty, more commonly referred to as a "nose job," it is important to know that ethnic nose structures tend to be quite different from Caucasian nose structures and require specialized knowledge and training on the part of the operating plastic surgeon.

"This book is intended to fill an important gap in plastic sugery related health information that is available to patients of African-American, as well as mixed and other ethnic descents. It will educate these patients about what to expect before, during and after the procedure."

Dr. Slupchynskyj is considered an expert on the topic of ethnic Rhinoplasty, having previously created and implemented the use of his own, unique nasal implant for rhinoplasty surgeries, called the SLUPimplant.

The SLUPimplant can be used with patients of all backgrounds but is especially useful with ethnic patients because it is not a "one size fits all" medical device. Its shape can be manipulated based upon the unique needs of each patient's desired look and anatomical structure.

Available for sale now on Amazon, the e-book is composed of 12 chapters which explain its industry relevance and provide those from diverse backgrounds with a clear "what to expect" before, during and after their nose job.

Additionally, through the use of testimonials and before and after case study photos from a widely published study on ethnic rhinoplasty conducted by Dr. Slupchynskyj, the book makes each reader aware of the uniqueness of a diverse patient's experience when seeking and undergoing cosmetic surgery.
