Eva Mendes is not one to talk about her boyfriend Ryan Gosling but the actress made an exception while talking about her upcoming movie "How to Catch a Monster."

According to E! News, the 40-year-old actress who was recently spotted walking her beau's dog, hasn't been spotted with her "The Place Beyond the Pines" costar in public for almost five months.

However, he has been seen at her house and the star also wrote and directed the film that his girlfriend is starring in.

While at her New York & Co. pop-up shop event at The Beverly Center in Los Angeles Mendes explained, "It's basically a dark fairytale and I play a woman named Cat."

She continued, "Yeah, it's a beautiful, beautiful film."

The film "How to Catch a Monster" also stars the likes of Christina Hendricks and Saoirse Ronan while marking Ryan Gosling's directorial debut.

Eva Mendes couldn't help but gush about her boyfriend's hard work. She said, "He really created the most beautiful, collaborative, creative atmosphere on set."

The actress smiled and said, "I know I'm biased."

She added, "He's the best," awkwardly laughing again she said, "He's the best."
