"American Horror Story" season 4 setting has finally been revealed! On Monday, news broke that the cast will star in a carnival setting in the upcoming season, with fans wondering still about season 5's theme.
"AHS" writer and co-executive producer, Douglas Petrie had spilled the secret about the FX show in a recent podcast with Nerdist Writers Panel, reported the Huffington Post.
It may have been some time since fans were speculating about the upcoming season, but the cat is out of the bag now! But the big hint almost didn't come out.
When first asked about the show's forthcoming theme, Petrie said that he couldnt say nothing about it.
But Moira Kirkland, who has written for "Castle" and "Arrow" had made the perfect guess as to where "American Horror Story" was going next season.
"Well I don't know if it's true, but I heard carnival," said Kirkland.
And Petrie responded that Kirkland was right.
"Yes -- that was the, it -- it does not have a title," revealed Petrie.
Podcast moderator Ben Blacker then asked Petrie to confirm that carnival was the setting. And the "AHS" writer and producer had no choice but to tell the truth.
"That's the idea, that's very roughly the idea," said Petrie about Kirland's guess.
Fans had already speculated that a carnival and circus theme would be next season's theme. Earlier this year, several fan-made posters with that setting had gone viral, but the show's creator Ryan Murphy had denied the rumors.
"No one has completely guessed what it is," said Murphy to Entertainment Weekly at the time.
